The HillSprings Learning Center is pleased to announce that they are hosting the Struggling Student Community Resource Fair, on Saturday, April 7, 2012, at the Tesla Center Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The workshop is designed to meet the needs of parents, educators and health care providers who work with struggling students. This one day program is an opportunity to learn about resources that fit your student's challenges and strengths.

  • Marcia Braden, PhD, Child Psychologist, will discuss the emotional toll that struggling students experience and how remediation can improve a child's self esteem.
  • Rhonda Sunde MA, LPC, Clinical Director of The Neuroconnection, will present information on testing and research based interventions.
  • Beth Busby, Twice Exceptional Consultant, will explain how giftedness and learning disabilities often come hand in hand.
    Heather Lyons, from Assistive Technology Partners, will present the latest technologies that support student learning.
  • In addition, a parent panel will take questions from workshop participants.

Exhibitors will display research-based interventions for struggling students throughout the morning.
